I began painting as a form of self-exploration, to establish a dialogue with the Unknown. I seek to create art that is visually arresting and invites a connection to the mystery of existence, and am continually fascinated by the power of abstract art to communicate with the viewer directly, bypassing the mind’s default linguistic and conceptual filters.

My visual language is constantly evolving and expanding.

I live between the city of Cape Town and a quiet country hamlet at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains called Suurbraak in the Western Cape, South Africa, with my Wolf Man and two dogs. I also work as a freelance journalist.
